Most major brands are covered. Northway is not a manufacturer's service centre, so a fridge or washer still under its factory warranty should go back to the manufacturer before you book us.
Before the visit
- Find the model and serial label (inside the door, on the frame, or at the back) and photograph it.
- Write down any code showing on the display.
- Clear access to the appliance and tell us about parking, buzzers or elevators.
- Smell gas? Get everyone outside, then call Enbridge Gas or 911 from there. Don't book a repair first.
Renting? Tell us if your landlord or property manager should approve the repair. We can send the written finding to them.
How a home visit works
- You send a request. Your phone, email and the service address are all we need. Add the appliance and what's wrong if you like.
- A technician gets in touch. As soon as possible, by phone or text, to set a time that works for you.
- The technician diagnoses. They find the cause and write it down: what failed, the parts, labour and total price, and whether the repair is worth doing.
- You decide. Approve the written quote and the diagnostic is free: it comes off when the repair is completed. Say no, and you pay only the diagnostic ($89 + tax for a home electric appliance).
